AT CALVARY

Years I spent in vanity and pride,
Caring not my Lord was crucified,
Knowing not it was for me He died on Calvary.

By God’s Word at last my sin I learned;
Then I trembled at the law I’d spurned,
Till my guilty soul imploring turned to Calvary

Now I’ve given to Jesus everything,
Now I gladly own Him as my King,
Now my raptured soul can only sing of Calvary

Oh, the love that drew salvation’s plan!
Oh, the grace that brought it down to man!
Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span at Calvary!

Mercy there was great, and grace was free;
Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found liberty at Calvary.

I am a born-again Christian.  By faith, I believe Jesus is God's Son.  He willingly gave His life for my sins because of unconditional love.  I accepted God's gift of salvation by asking Jesus into my heart.  As a Christian, I know I have the promise of eternal life in Heaven with my Savior.

I know God walks with me every day, guiding me, giving me strength.  Faith gives me peace.  There are no adequate words to express what is in my heart; what my spirit knows.  I love Him.

Calvary.  The beginning of forgiveness, redemption, renewal and life.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever
believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

John 3:16
